Apartments:

Legacy at Jones Farm

A 52 acre site which backs up to Huntsville Mountain (behind Kohl's and Terrame,) will soon be the home of Legacy at Jones Farm. Phase 1 of this 496 unit, extremely up-scale apartment complex will include 248 units as well as a clubhouse, community pool, fitness center, playground and walking trails.
The garden- style feel of the complex will include three-story buildings with 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units built of stone, brick and Hardiplank on the exterior. The interiors will be luxurious with Santa Cecilia granite counter-tops, raised panel maple cabinetry and stainless steel appliances in kitchens as well as crown molding and trey ceilings. 
The clubhouse will include a bar area, game room, computer center, conference room, kitchen, club room with a fireplace and an outdoor covered patio. 
This will be a gated apartment community, and the main entrance will be accessed by Cecil Ashburn Drive.

Commercial:



A new, up-scale shopping complex is planned for the corner of Carl T. Jones and Ledges Drive. The 400,000 square foot complex will include 19 retail parcels in the main center and 11 restaurant or retail out-parcels. The largest parcel, at 104,000 sq ft is similar in size to anchors such as a mini Macys or Saks Fifth Avenue. This development is likely to include several high-end retailers which do not currently have a presence in the Huntsville market.

The Cottages at Indian Lake

The Vision 

As the first of its kind in the Ditto Landing area, The Vision is a 320 acre, private development with a long range vision which is already beginning to take form. This facility is in a beautiful setting at the base of Green Mountain and is centered around outdoor recreation and relaxation. The Vision will provide accommodations for retreats, weddings, conferences, summer camps and other gatherings. Some facilities including a cabin, playground and covered bridge have been completed while larger structures are in beginning phases.
The developer also has plans for a 42 acre park which will be designed to educate children about farm life and rural communities. With a full time staff and the inclusion of various farm animals, agricultural demonstrations, and a play ground, he would eventually like to have the Huntsville railway stop at the park in order to transport children from the Huntsville Train Depot on a historic trip to his farm life park.


 


Southside Park, Astro Dog Park

The 9 acre dog park will be the first phase of development in the plans for a new 55 acre park on Chaney Thompson and is scheduled for completion at the end of February 2014. The disc golf course is expected to be completed soon after.
The first phase will also include playground equipment, a large picnic pavilion and a sidewalk connecting with the Aldridge Creek Greenway. Future plans for the park include two multi-purpose fields, a gym, a Babe Ruth baseball field, a fitness center and jogging paths. 

Construction is nearly complete for phase 1. We look forward to this enhancement to the south Huntsville community!
